Arrow Can I use Coffeecup as my sitebuilder?

I do not like site studio or whatever it is called on here. I can not edit the templates and the thing will not let me just start from scratch and add my own backgrounds etc...(well if it does,I cant figure it out.)

Anyways - can I use coffeecup as my site builder and then upload it to my site?

Thanks!
Sporty

Yes, you can use any HTML editor to create your site. You would just need to publish the files to the public_html folder.

Hello, sporty and welcome to HG.

If you've already got Coffee Cup, these may not be useful, but I'm adding them to this thread in case others who see it need them.

Site studio/builder alternatives even novices can use

The first has links to several free HTML editor downloads. The second is for FTP applications to transfer files between your pc and the server (some page editing applications have built-in FTP, but it's also very useful to have a standalone FTP program).

Tools for noobs

FTP help resources and downloads

You're welcome. I got the wording slightly wrong in the post with the links. The first thread (alternatives to...) has links to a bunch of good lessons about HTML, and several free site builder apps. The second thread (tools for...) has the free html editors, and the third thread (ftp..) is what it sounds like.
