Question Can subdomains have own forum and photo galleries

Can subdomains have separate forums and photo galleries from each other and the main domain?

Thanks,
Chad

Yes, you just install them in subdirectories inside the subdomain's directory.

Thanks for the info. Can the installation be done with fantastico? Or, do I need to perform manual installs?

Most time, fantastico will only install to one location, so if you want two forums on the same account, one will have to be a manual install.

I've installed SMF and Gallery2 under different directories on multiple subdomains/domains using Fantastico.

I ran a test on a couple of them and I couldn't install into more than one directory, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Did it just prompt you to install it in another directory?

I have two forums installed on my domain, just in each subdomain's own folder, and both installed by fantastico. As long as they are not in the same exact folder it's fine I think.

As far as I can tell, it depends on what you want to install, some of the stuff can only be installed once, some let me install in subdomains.
