Post Can i host graphics using my HG space?

I want to start a mini friendster resource site. And since i need to host the graphics im thinking of imageshack. But im still a student and paying for webhosting and subscribing to imageshack to host my images isnt practical.
So im thinking of just purchasing a Baby plan and then eventually a Swamp plan so i can save some dollars instead of paying separately for webhosting and imagehosting. My question is am i allowed to do this?
Dont worry about copyright issues because im a graphics designer and what ill be offering are my crappy works only and some freebies from other site owners.
For issues about unwanted stealing of bandwidth there is Hotlink Protection for that on the Cpanel

You can host graphics, however social networking type sites can easily take up too many resources on your account so they are only allowed on dedicated servers.

If the image hosting part of your site is open for anyone to upload images, that is against our Terms of Service:

http://www.hostgator.com/tos.shtml

Examples of unacceptable material on all Shared and Reseller servers include:

IRC Bots, Proxy Scripts / Anonymizers, Pirated Software / Warez, image, filedump, mirror, or banner-ad services (similar to rapidshare, photobucket, or commercial banner ad rotation), topsites, commercial audio streaming (more than one or two streams), Escrow, High-Yield Interest Programs (HYIP) or related sites, Investment sites (FOREX, egold exchange), sale of any controlled substance without prior proof of appropriate permit(s), AutoSurf sites, Bank Debentures, Bank Debenture Trading Programs, Prime Banks Programs, lottery sites, muds / rpg's, hate sites, hacker focused sites/archives/programs, or sites promoting illegal activities, IP Scanners, Brute Force Programs, Mail Bombers and Spam Scripts. Forums and or websites that distribute or link to warez content are prohibited.

thanks for the reply. No, ill only be the one to upload the images. Its not the type of site where users are allowed to register and become members of the site. Just pure resource site where the admin is the one that can edit and add stuff to the site.
Just as i thought. I guess subscribing to an imagehosting service is the best option here. Thank you very much. I'll buy a hatchling plan after my hosting plan with another hosting provider expires

Wait so I wouldn't be allowed to post a link to a website that has all these pirated movies?

If you mean Germz, your language seems a little strong. Though his question was ingenuous (and, yes, IMO, dumb) he was sincere, asking a longer version in the shared category.

Last night a spammer hit the board, flooded almost every thread. Good lesson to RainbowViper though--they always go away!

Well, then, remove the posts referring to the spammer. Like mine.

And no, gwyneth, I most certainly wasn't referring to Germz.

That possibly made Germz' day (his/her other posts seem to reflect an uneasy relationship with other fora). I just wanted to eliminate any confusion.
