Default Cadillac - becoming a problem?

So far I have been happy with my experiences at Hostgator. I am however becoming concerned that during this past week I have experienced several outages, usually quite short but far too frequent for my comfort. According to my monitoring stats there have been at least five outages this week alone.

The information back has ranged from no answer to 'we are just working on it' but no real attempt to reassure me that the problems are resolved.

Is it just me or are other Cadillac users also experiencing issues?

Angry Re: Cadillac - becoming a problem?

Yes im on cadillac, and use a Java program to monitor my up-downtime, and we get enough downtime to warrant a partial refund. Not only does my sites go down ALOT, but my mail doesnt work half the time, and now this morning the SQLdatabases arent working either, which puts at least 3 of my sites down, one of them being an online store. Pretty annoying.......

I also am on Cadillac, and will say I am getting many complaints from clients about there Email timing out, and no connections.
Server loads have been very high on & off for the past week or so. Looks like someone is running something causing this?.

Anyone want to partner in a dedicated server? Contact me PM.

I'm on Cadillac as well and I seen the same problems. A few times this week it took over five minutes to load a page over a T1 connection. That's just unacceptable. I didn't notice mySQL being down earlier today, but I just got home and it seems to be down again. What's going on?

My sites are running very slow today, this is the first problem I have had on cadillac for a few weeks now. In the past I have had a lot of problems and the general reply seems to be 'its fixed now' or we are working on it.

If cadillac has many more problems then maybe we should ask HostGator to transfer us to the same server they are on because I have not knowm a time yet when they have been down.

Cadillac has been under extreme mail the entire day. So much spam, it is overwhelming the server. We are blocking the sources and things are slowly improving. The raid1 is rebuilding due to the crash from earlier. This rebuild only adds to the problem. This is the first issue in weeks I am aware of for Cadillac. I will continue to monitor the server very closely. I know the load has been very good for weeks until today when the problem started.

According to my free monitor (which only checks every 30 mins) my sites have been unavailable on 2nd, 14th, 23rd and 24th of March. I appreciate that these may be reboots etc. and possibly do not fall into your category of being an 'issue'. I can assure you that my customers don't see it that way!

I happen to have been away two days and the first thing I see is post on here is that Cadillac has been subject to a Raid1 rebuild issue and a huge spam attack. How difficult is it to email each reseller on Cadillac that there is a problem? Hostgator may know a lot about Customer Relationship Marketing but when it come to Customer Relationship Management they still have a few tricks to learn. I can only be a reseller for as long as I can keep my customers. Without them you lose a customer

I may be a Brit but I still look at the research done across the world regarding Customers and it was a study from the states that highlighted that customers are most unhappy when they have been lied to, and next biggest cause of concern is being kept in the dark.

I have read it more than once on these forums - Please listen to your resellers and understand their needs - being cost effective and good at marketing will gain customers - failing to understand customer needs will cost you customers.

Unhappy Re: Cadillac - becoming a problem?

cadillac just went down again. Didn't notice anyting until today. I'm very concerned about the reliability. I'm not confident that my customers will be as sympathetic as I am....
