I have been searching for something like this for some time since I was not able to access email, cpanel, or whm from behind my company's firewall. All you have to do is upload the files into newly created subdomains. Easy and it works great!

[EDIT]
If you wish to install it the easiest way is the automated install. [EDIT/] Actually this has been posted MANY MANY times. It's a great tool but, people should just search sometimes..

I suppose you are right. Unfortunately, when I had asked for Hostgator for help on this, the only reply I received was to ask the administrator to open that port. Something that was unlikely.
Reposting never hurts though especially if you don't know exactly what you are searching for. |

Then this should be pinned immediately.

Maybe this should go in Webhosting then, so anyone can see it.

Possibly because this was an ancient thread, raised, as Serra noted, from the dead. About three posts up, Gator Andre posted a link to a thread with more current information.

It's also built into some cPanel releases now.

Charles, if you can wait, you'll get the functionality once Hostgator updates their boxesto the latest cPanel release/cPanel brings the functionality to all the branches (I'm not sure what have it yet).

If you are behind your company's firewall, you will be able to acces cPanel via cpanel.MYDOMAIN.TLD.
Where MYDOMAIN.TLD is your main domain. |
