Buying domain name

Hi,

Just wondering domain names. If I bought and registered a new domain name using hostgator, and later wanted to move to a different host, would there be any problems? Would the domain name be fully mine, or would it belong to Hostgator?

No, if you move to another host you only need to change the nameservers of the domain name.

You will be the owner of the domain name.

You would own it and could move it to another registrar or keep it with Host Gator after you leave.
