If you view https://tickets.hostgator.com/view/(TICKET ID)/process then it will add a blank reply to the ticket. Shouldn't it check to see if the submitted form values are NULL?

Confirmed.
I just made them a nice blank ticket to illustrate it clearly to them. |

It would be nice if the ticket system used by HostGator was also used/updated by HostGator developers for Ticketsystem problems.
I put in a ticket a while back on another bug in the ticket system. Basically thanks we'll take care of it. I haven't tried to keep reproducing problem just to see if it got fixed. But it would have been nice for them to say thanks we've now fixed it. Well let me check the ticket...Nope still just says: Quote:

We have an internal ticket system that we use (Mantis) to track and fix bugs. If you find one, just PM us on here, we all check the forums very frequently, so we'll get the message.

Oh, thanks for bumping this, Zach. My relevant support ticket was given to a programmer, and the bug is fixed.
