I've been a HostGator customer for about 6 months now and just recently rediscovered the forums (I looked at them just before I signed up), so I figured I'd put in a review.
Overall, I'm impressed. My website, while not ready for prime-time yet (and may never be at the rate I'm going

), has been steady as a rock. I've had no reason to contact support as everything has "just worked" so far.
There's only a couple of minor negatives I can think of, and they ARE minor. The 60 pop checks per hour limit is understandable and tolerable, but annoying nonetheless. I'd also appreciate better PHP5 support, though
it appears it's on the way. From what I can understand, I can request it, but it's still a bit more hassle than I'd like.
I had almost decided to go to Dreamhost. They're offering some spectacular deals and features, but they've been having a lot of technical problems and after perusing their website I was left with some concerns that I know HostGator already has gotten right.
So overall, not perfect, but very very good.
