On Friday I set up a new resold account. Over the weekend everything propogated normally. The following Monday I sent some test emails to the new domain and they consistently bounced back. And trying to send mail from my ISP's pop mail feature proved impossible.
I wrote tech support and within a few hours they told me that they had set up a test account (I was trying to use the main account) and that it was working fine. (And it was!) This got me thinking. So I went to the "default mail" link in Cpanel and to my surprise, the unrouted mail is set to... :FAIL: ![]() I have no idea how or why it was set this way. Never happened before. I changed it to [_______] (no entry) and it automatically set itself to the username@domain.com. This cured the condition. Worth remembering! BTW- I haven't used IM or phone for tech support - only email. Not all of the reps I've dealt with are gurus, but they have ALWAYS been as fast, friendly, and helpful as possible. Nothing but praise. |

Thomas you were lucky!
It took me a few days to realise that one of the accounts I had set-up had defaulted to :BLACKHOLE I haven't a clue how many e-mails got trashed but I sure did learn my lesson. I double check every account I set up now!
