Hi, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is the wrong section.
I was interesting in a blog type website where all the content that I post is displayed on the front page. I am also aware that google is very supportive of blogs and that I am more likely to be on the front page as supposed to if I had a static website (which I am not interested in). I want my website to be a blog format but I do not want .com/blog at the end (as my front page) http://rosstraining.com/blog/ ^This is an example of a website that I want mine to look like in terms of how the content is posted on the first page. HOWEVER, when you type rosstraining.com it redirects to rosstraining.com/blog which I do not want. (Whether this is related to my first question, I am not sure) The picture below, would I want my wordpress to be installed in /blog or directly to my website? What are the pros and cons of having WP directly on your website as supposed to /blog? ![]() Sorry if this is pretty confusing, hopefully it is clear enough. But basically I would like a rosstraining.com kind of format without the /blog as my front page and still have my website as a "blog website" and display stuff on the front page as my newest content.

In Installatron There is NO need to enter BLOG after your Domain Name when installing WordPress. This will install wordpress in the root of your Domain Name
If you have already installed WordPress, than uninstall it and re-install it again. Here I am assuming that your blog don't have any type of content, as once you uninstall wordpress, everything will be lost remember not to enter anything after your Domain Name. Select the Domain Name and start filling Admin Email, Blog Title, First Name and Last Name

That makes no sense. If a site has good content, visitors don't care what you call it. A website is a website, they are just displayed differently.

Thank you so much for the input. The tutorial that hostgator made tells us to install WP on .com/blog so I was confused... I guess I'll install directly to my website!
