Hello

Do your hosting support to host blogger or blogspot? Blogspot has a service to ftp your blog on your own domain.

Yes, you'd be able to do that. I did that in the past until I changed blogging software.

Can I get help with getting the FTP from blogger.com to work from someone who's done it? I need to know the correct ftp path. Everything I try creates a subfolder and then puts in the index (blog) page and archives. By this I mean the following:

I created an addon domain (which worked perfectly). It is called KnowltonsReef.com. I tried using www/knowltonsreef/ as the file path in the blogger form. This created www/knowltonsreef/www/knowltonsreef/index.html I even tried putting in my ip address as the ftp path, and the same thing happened.

I then tried using just the addon username for the ftp path as instructed by hostgator support: knowltonsreef@scentsiblecandles.com
This made Blogger.com create: www.knowltonsreef/knowltonsreef@scentsiblecandles.com/index.html (or something close to that.

What ftp path do I need to put into the Blogger.com form to get it to put the index directly under my addon domain: www.knowltonsreef.com/index.html so that my blog will show up when I type the domain name rather than a directory of my files?

I'm at my wits end and not sure if I need to go to Blogger support or back to hostgator support. Thanks for any help.

Christine

By the way.. I manually moved the index file and archive files to the knowltonsreef folder. This allowed the first page of the blog to show up on Mozilla FF but only the file index is on IE. So if you are seeing the site in Mozilla, it is not actually fixed yet.
