Default Blocking .eml attatchments

Hi,

Does anyone know an easy way around forwarding emails now that .eml files are blocked? A company I represent sends inner office emails and now that .eml files are blocked can no longer just forward emails. I understand that a large portion of .eml files do contain virii but see this as an issue for business. Currently I have been told to zip the information and then attach it to a new email. To me, this defeats the entire email forwarding option. Yes zipping is a way around, however, it takes time and employees have to be shown how to do this. Would it be possible to ublock .eml files from within the existing domain? Any other suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0 is one. There is an extension for TB (called 'Auto Zip Attachments For Thunderbird' https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/4003) that allows zipping the attachments and that extension also allows you to just rename the attachment but it's stupid that HG makes one go through such hurdles based on a brain dead policy for brain dead software (OE). There's also some discussion on enhancing TB to allow the user to either set a default behavior or rename the attachments through native TB, time will tell where (if any where) that'll take us TB users.

I just went a couple of rounds with HG 'Abuse' support on the .eml blocking and so far I've made no headway in getting them to reconsider the policy. There's probably still some more nagging left in me.... ;-)

Wow, glad I'm on a dedicated. If eml's where blocked I would be out of the hosting business. My clients would just leave me.
But then again, I try and train my clients to not open any attachment unless they know who sent it. Simple rule. Yes, I know, there is always going to be a few that still open these "Someone sent you a greeting card" Emails. Like they know someone named smojoe??
