Billing emails

It seems odd to me that you guys don't email when an invoice is "due". Only when its overdue. If you invoices your customers when it was due, you may not get so many overdue invoices.

I for one only act on emails that hit my inbox (and i'm sure I'm not alone).

I'm pretty sure my email came through before the bill was due. In fact, I'm positive it came through beforehand, as my bill isn't due until tomorrow...

"Dear (redacted),

Your web hosting payment for your HostGator web hosting account is due. Please pay all outstanding invoices within 10 days of the invoice creation date to avoid service interruption."

On a related note, is the billing system down?

I was told on Live support they don't email when an invoice is generated

I've been here for going on 4 years now, and I've never once seen an invoice email.... only once did I see an overdue notice (but only after they suspended my account) because the card I had on file for autopay had expired. Maybe it's because of the autopay, but I have never received any form of email regarding my payments, whether due or paid or other, except the one overdue I mentioned above.

It doesn't help you guys right now, but in GatorBill (currently live on SEOHosting), we send out invoices on the following days:

Created (5 Days before due)
Due Day
Overdue (5 days after due)
Overdue (9 days after due)
Suspended (10 days after due)

I'm sure this is something we will do with HostGator too.
