First, sorry if this question is in the wrong section - I couldn't figure out where it fits.
I currently have a Baby plan that has several add-on domains nestled into it. I want to upgrade to a reseller Aluminum account, but also to change the current main domain to use one of the domains that's presently an add-on. (The ultimate plan is to set up a separate account under the reseller for each domain, if/when I manage to get the WHM thing all set up and figured out.) Which way do you think would be better -- (a) Open a (new) reseller account under the preferred domain name, then shuffle all the domains into place there, and then cancel the Baby plan? or (b) Back up and remove all the add-ons and subdomains, put in a ticket for HG to do the $5 domain name change, then load everything back on to the Baby plan -- and then request the upgrade? or (c) Move up to reseller, then say a few prayers and try to do the name change then without mucking everything up? I'm mostly concerned about which way will be fastest, easiest, and with the least amount of disruption to the sites that are being hosted at the Baby account -- because frankly, I have no idea what I'm doing with the whole reseller thing & the potential for me to make a fatal error is almost infinite! ![]() Any advice would be warmly welcomed. |

Update, just in case anyone else has the same question: the advice was to make the domain change first, as then the reseller account, when it's set up later, would then be all ready use the correct private nameservers. (Makes sense!)
What I decided to do in the end, however, just for my own comfort level as I learn this WHM stuff, was to set up the reseller account separately. Now I'm setting up accounts there and moving sites in my own time; and when that's all done, then I'll just cancel the Baby plan that's holding everything right now. Big thanks to the support staff for quick and easy-to-understand responses to my questions
