Default How best to move sites?

Hi All:

I've currently got 3 Baby accounts hosting about 12 domains and want to move them all to a reseller account (No SSL anywhere yet) and start offering hosting (eventually).

HG has said they will move 3 domains for me (1 per Baby account) to my new Reseller account. That leaves me moving the others. Some are simple HTML sites and a couple are WordPress sites. HG also said they would move the rest at a rate of $75/hour, which I'd rather avoid.

Are there any tips on how best to accomplish all of this with a minimum of work? I read the tip about getting everything setup and working BEFORE initiating the DNS updates, and using backups etc in the sticky topic above. Any other tips?

For the simple HTML sites FTP would be best.

For the Wordpress sites you should be able to install Wordpress from Fantastico on the new cpanel account and then import the database.

I moved my Wordpress to HostGator by zipping up the filesystem in File Manager (can be found in cPanel). Then downloaded the zip file, uploaded it to HostGator and unzipped in File Manager. Then I exported & imported MySQL database and I was done. (Took me a few minutes actually)

If you know how to set up mysql databases, import them via PHPMyAdmin and change the database name etc in configuration file, you can do it yourself as explained above. Otherwise you will have to either get a freelancer to do it (scriptlance / rentacode) or allow HG to do it at the rate they mentioned. Even though the hourly rate is high, it should not take more than one hour for hostgator, as they have access to WHM and can move a site with just few clicks.
