Hi
I have a small business site that develops tools for the open source community. We average around 300 to 800 unique visitors a day. Occasionally we make it to the front page of a high traffic site like digg or slashdot sending a sudden surge of visitors to our website. About a few thousand at any given time during a 2 to 4 hour time range. Would the hostgator swamp plan be sufficient for us? Thanks Mike |

It's the spikes that may be a problem with them. They are very protective of server load...which keeps are the other clients happy...
![]() If it was too much and bogging the server down all the time they'd probably want you on a semi-dedicated plan... Or find some people to share a dedicated box.... |
