Exclamation Before posting about your experiences...

I have made a few changes to how this particular forum works. Firstly, only registered members who have been verified as account holders are permitted to post new threads, which makes sense if you think about it.

Also, in an effort to prevent the threads in here from being replied to and drifting off-topic, you may only post replies to those threads that you started. What has happened in the past is that someone has posted a positive review, only to have some reply with negative comments, only to have that replied to with more postive comments, etc. It made for some very confusing reading at times.

Each thread posted in here from this day forward will contain just a single post, or, if multiple posts, they will at least be from the same person.

Another change you may have already noticed is in how the threads are displayed in the thread list. (figure 1) You'll notice that you can now quickly identify which comments are postive, which are negative, and which are neutral. This will help prospective customers to determine at a glance which threads they would like to read. Also, as a business, these new icons will allow us to monitor the ratio of positive to negative comments and make changes to our services and/or policies as deemd necessary. We realize that we can never please 100% of our customers, but if we see an influx of red "negative" icons here, we will know where to concentrate our efforts. Ideally, the thread list will always show an overwhelming majority of green icons.

So who assigns the appropriate icon? You do! When posting a new thread in this forum, you will now be presented with a new selection of icons which will allow you to choose the appropriate one for your post. Simple. (figure 2) As always, we will not censor what is posted in here, but we do reserve the right to delete any comments which may be offensive in any way. If you wish to post something negative, feel free, but please do so in a civil manner.

Default Re: Before posting about your experiences...

People have been making complaints recently in this forum when there scripts or databases get suspended, this is not the forum to do so in. This forum is for reviews, positive or negative about the service. Not for complaints about a single issue you are having. Please post any issues or suspension problems in the forum associated with your hosting account, Shared Hosting Support, or Reseller Support. Otherwise your post will be moved to the correct forum.

Also please remember only you and HostGator Staff can reply to your posts! If you want input of other people you will not want to post in this forum.
