Everythings been great, fast servers, hardly any downtime. But there is downtime, I experienced this while updating my site one time. My stats provider siteuptime.com showed that I had less than 99.9 for two months, which makes sense because I experienced that downtime while updating my site (which ended up being down for around an hour which should mean less than 99.9 for that month... according to math). In short, I never got a refund because HostGator doesnt trust third party monitoring sites.
So if you're thinking of getting hosting with HG, ignore the 99.9% uptime guarantee, it means nothing to you. Downtime hardly ever happens though, so dont think you're going to get screwed or anything. |

Good evening,
It appears according to your post that your own 'site updates' were the cause of the site being down below the 99.9%, not our services. In the event that you make configuration modifications to your site and bring it down we cannot be responsible for any downtime you may cause on your own. Perhaps I misread wrong though. ![]() Nonetheless I'm glad to see you're overall still satisfied with our services. |

I use to use siteuptime myself and had false alerts on a daily basis. What's the ticket number you opened on the outage? Did you see it yourself?
