Default Base Kit Site Builder

Hi, I have published a site which appeared to work fine, but I cant find the files in any of my folders.

Where are the files held?

Thanks.

I haven't used any of the site builders, but if you used one - and you see what you've made when you go to the URL - then the files must have been placed in the public_html folder.
Use the File Manager to open this folder and see if your files are there ... when first open File Manager, you'll be at the top-level of your file directory - you should see public_html listed as one of the sub-directories, and this folder is where everything that shows up on the web is kept.
Hope this helps... let us know!

Hello,

Thank you for working with us on this issue, basekit does not function in quite the same way that other site builders do. Publishing your site generates a series of apache overrides in your account's .htaccess file which in turn uses a system called mod_proxy to forward request to the basekit cluster. The basekit cluster contains all of your content, thus you will not find data stored in your document root on your server.

Hi,

Is it possible to move these files to public_html and then modify them using Dreamweaver.

Thanks

I was searching the forums to find an answer to the same question wallspa was asking. I like to be able to go in and change an image by just uploading a newer version under the same name.

So is there a way to pull the files from the basekit cluster to put them in the public-html folder to be able to accomplish this, or if I were to find a way would that render basekit unusable beings it wouldn't be looking for the files in the pubic folder ?

thanks in advance for any advice on this

Hello,

Thank you for working with us, as stated in my previous response, all of the data is stored on the Basekit Cluster. There is currently no way to effectively move that data and if you did move that data you would be unable to maintain it using Basekit.
