I'm a bit confused on this one, but here it goes.
Has anyone ever tried or seen a way to put what a barcode scanner reads in an input element (or maybe another method), in a HTML form? I want to read / print Barcodes and use it in a site that I'll develop. Unless it is the last option, I want the program (for stock) to be completely web/Intranet-based (with PHP n MySQL). Any hint, idea, suggestion, method & even a guess is more than welcomed. Regards, Pazeh

it's relatively simple... and yes i've done it, not with HTML, but with a flash app i co-created...
there are some PHP classes out there to allow you to create/print barcodes, but if you just want to read them, it'll print out the barcode equivalent into your input field and they typically hit enter after that point, not sure if you can change that option on the scanner or not

Hmm , Am i missing something.
You read anything from a barcode reader , it can be fetched in a string or in any method you want. So What`s the problem ? |
