Default Backup utility for all databases

Firstly thank you for such a great service, now my question:

I am currently using 15 MySQL databases and it is important that I back them up regularly. Currently the only way to backup all my databases is to use either the full backup tool (which I am reluctant to use because the cpanel says it can only be used for moving your account) or clicking each of the database download links - a very tedious process.

It would nice if there was a tool in the cpanel to download all of the databases at once, or, even better, restricted access to the mysqldump tool via command line (this would allow me to incorporate this into a cron job making backups easier).

Thank you very much in advanced.

If you go to phpmyadmin in cPanel, don't select a database on the left, and hit export on the right, you can export all of them at once as a file.

not exactly, the full backup tools backup not only database, also setting in cpanel, email, files etc. and it store a copy at root ftp, and you can download a copy to your local pc. which i start to like this way of backup

Notice that will be interressant for other purposes also:
The full backup do not have to be unpacked for to be loadable again.
But, you can do a copy that you will destroy (For restauration) open it and there you can find everything and pick what you need: DBs, files, mails, settings, ...

Nothing like a good lold post to add to...
I ran into trouble using phpmyadmin for simple mysql backup restore... that I have been doing for some years now.

The thing is, for backup I used to export between 20-40MB dataset of tables... no problem, using phpmyadmin. Suddenly my resulting file is about 8MB ...export finsishes with no warnings, file is incomplete.

Not sure why the problem, but a simple backup remedy was to download MySQL Admin from Sun
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html
...and use that.

The trick to being able to use this tool is you need to log into the client's CPanel and under "Databases" MySQL Remote" add the ip address you are connecting from.

Wish I had found this tip here somewhere, so I figured I'd post it ;^)

Cheers,
TwoHawks
