Default Baby vs Aluminum

I have a question on the hosting vs reseller accounts.

Baby shared hosting is 5 gb/75 gb and costs $9.95 per month

Alumimum reseller hosting is 5gb/50gb and costs $24.95 per month.

I really do not want to resell any hosting but want to put up many sites of my own. It appears Baby is a better deal then a reseller account because you can now add as many domains and sub domains you want. The only difference I see is you get WHM with a reseller account. Is it needed or can you get it with a Baby account to manage your domains? Am I missing something?

I have never had a hosting account I could add domains to. Is it easy to set up?

What about IP addresses. With Baby is there only one? With Aluminum is there only one? Can you purchase more with either account?

Appreciate your comments.

Jim

The difference between the shared and reseller accounts is that they are selling a hosting solution for the reseller account.

Each reseller account comes with the WHM Autopilot billing software (19.95/per month bought separately), hosting templates, a free enom reseller account, and of course the ability to create new cpanel logins.

I am not sure, however, if you can have a dedicated IP on an addon domain. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

As far as I know that is not possible with an Add-On domain, maybe with a mod to cPanel but, at the moment I'm 99% sure it's not at all possible with an add-on. You'd only need it for SSL though? If it's at all needed to have an SSL on every domain then yes, you might want to look into a reseller account.

Correct, you can only have a dedicated IP on the main site and only one SSL per account on the main site. Of course, if you have add-ons they are going to be on the dedicated IP if you get one.

You can only have one SSL per account, but you can use a wildcard SSL that allows you to have serveral urls, provided they are sub domains.

You could have

secure.myserver.com
art.myserver.com
porn.myserer.com

and each would have an SSL.
