Default Baby or Business

Hi

I need company website hosting plan but on its own ip.

My options appear to be:

10 baby plan with ip - 8.36pm
2) business plan - 10.36pm ( i dont need the toll free etc etc)

My question - Is the business plan any better interms of performance? or are baby and business plans mixed on the same servers and are identical in terms of resources/performance?

TIA

There are no hardware or performance differences between the baby and business plans. The only differences are the extra features that are offered on each.

Go for baby plan. If you do not have much traffic and you have only one domain to host, even a hatchling will do.

Only difference is that the baby allows you to have unlimited domains.

Good Morning,

I'd like to outline the differences between the two plans since it seems there is a little confusion as people go back and forth between one another.

The business plan is the essentially the baby plan, just with additional features. They are hosted from the same servers and offer exactly the same performance in regards to system resources. Both are great options, but the decision depends largely on your site's specific needs. If you were needing an SSL certificate to secure your site, the business plan ends up being cheaper long term.

The business plan aside from offering what the baby plan does, offers the additional features:

- Dedicated IP Address
- Positive SSL (Domain Validated)
- Toll-free Voipo Telephone #

Additional information about the business account's features can be found at the following URL: http://support.hostgator.com/article...s-hosting-plan

If the SSL and toll-free number aren't really necessary, the baby plan would likely be your best option. If you require a dedicated IP address, though not the other features(SSL/Toll-free #) then the baby plan is likely the plan for you!

Feel free to send me a PM if anyone has additional questions or would like recommendations on what plans may work best to your specific needs.

Best Regards,

Can you get the toll free number separately don't want to upgrade to business?

It's not listed as an account addon anywhere. I'll wager that if you could get it separately, it would cost more per month than simply upgrading to the business plan.

Do you need SSL or a toll-free phone number for your forum?
