I had the same problems too from NJ. I thought it might be my ISP because it is not unknown for them and they are supposed to lightening fast, hmmmmm.
Might be a case of Monday's being a heavy day on uploads perhaps? I didn't get any error messages using Windows Explorer/FTP/Dreamweaver/Netobjects Fusion etc. It was just incredibly slow to upload. Chipfryer.

except that the problems were on Thursday, not Monday. I got loads of "remote machine terminated connection" messages, no matter what FTP client I used, and whether I accessed via the machine in New Jersey or in Norway.
