Hello Clients,
Cpanel changed the release version to cpanel 11 in tonight's stats run and this version has account creation errors and some other issues. WHM fails to create accounts with the following errors being logged into the error logs : BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /scripts/wwwacct line 10. Can't locate Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/cpanel /scripts /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /scripts/wwwacct line 10. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /scripts/wwwacct line 10. Can't locate Whostmgr/Accounts/Create.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/cpanel /scripts /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.7 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /scripts/wwwacct line 10. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /scripts/wwwacct line 10. I do not see an official fix for this error our yet but you can downgrade your cpanel to stable release using the following procedure : From Whm --> Main >> Server Configuration >> Update Config select Manual Updates Only (STABLE tree) and then save After this : goto Main >> cPanel >> Upgrade to Latest Version and upgrade from there. This will fix the account creation issues for now.

Luckily I am a little ahead here in Finland, so my server didn't get the 11 version yet
![]() I have set the update preferences to manual for now...

It looks like the account creation feature has been resolved in version C13361 from what I can see. We still highly recommend you switch to STABLE for now, as there are still many bugs.

Which error log will reflect this? I have went over many of the logs after creating an account this AM and don't see any problem.

If you are creating accounts via WHM, the error from wwwacct if any would show up in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log. A quick check would be to grep for Create.pm. Another way of checking for this bug would be to create a test account in shell using the following command. `/scripts/wwwacct somedomain.com user password` The above command will show the error right on screen. |

OK looks like all was clear when I looked in the log. The account was created by our billing system WHMCS if that may have made a difference. I will play around and see if I can produce the error with some test accounts this evening.
I just noticed that UPCP did not send the normal update log email from last night for the first time. But it looks like I am using C13361 though.

So I have this issue now... on the RELEASE tree... WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.0-R15062
I don't get any errors when I create the account, but when I go to view accounts or terminate the account, it's not there... so I have to delete the dns zone, remove it from httpd, etc... try and create the account and go through the same thing again... |

I'm quickly getting sick of this cPanel crap. Its costing me $25.00 a month for cPanel and its the worst software I have. I'm very serious about dumping it.

What would you switch to if you dump it? Just curious.

I created a demo account and a real account last night, support also created two demo accounts -- they're gone from the account listing this morning... but the zones are there and they're still in httpd.conf ..........

This has broken my site due to the installation of memcache. I've now got to recompile php with memcache support. Could have done with a warning really as I only know as a user has emailed me.

It's unfortunate that cPanel isn't very good about updating anyone about when a branch is going to change. We had to deal with issues earlier this morning, so you're not alone.
