I signed up a few days with Hostgator and wanted to move a messageboard I owned from a free host to here. Although it took a few days to complete this, the support staff I dealt with were courteous and attentive. They were all keen to help despite the fact that my issues technically wasn't their problem as the software isn't supported by HG.
If I had one slight small criticism it would be to say that I sometimes got the impression that my ticket could be picked up by anyone in the support team and that support staff seemed to vary in terms of how much experience/confidence they had with the forum software I was using, and also varied with how much of a handle they had with my problems and ultimate aim - it would maybe be better if my ticket stayed with just a couple of support staff who had good knowledge of the problem and what had to be done? But all were friendly and helped as much as they could. Hopefully I won't have to bother the support staff too much in the future (just wait until I want to upgrade my messageboard to phpbb3!!), but I have a lot of confidence in their willingness to help. Thanks guys.

Thank you for the good review! We always appreciate feedback from our wonderful customers. In reference to having different representatives reply to your ticket each time, this is due to Hostgator providing true 24/7 support. As much as we admins love our job at the Gator, we can't work 24/7 and we don't want your tickets to wait until the next day or night. If you are not in a rush to have your issue resolved and prefer to work with one person, you can definitely ask your first replier to the ticket to assign it to themselves, and then only they will actively see the ticket and other reps will not respond. Keep in mind that you are then limited to that person's work schedule though
