Hi All,
I've recently implemented new apache security optimizations to further protect our servers (and your web applications) from Command Execution, SQL Injection, XSS, and many other types of attacks. This will make it a lot more difficult for attackers to exploit any security holes that may be present in versions of scripts you may be using. It has been tested very thoroughly, but if you receive any 406 errors on any of your scripts please e-mail support@hostgator.com ATTN: Lyron and I will look into it for you. |

Hi!
Anything to do with mod_secure? I was hacked at the end of last week on an old install of nuke I ended up restiricting (by IP) access to the admin file as most of the exploits come through there. Anyway just yesterday I saw someone on a forum recommending we ask our hosts to have apache with mod_secure as that offers an extra level of protection from other common exploits. Sheesh I wish the skript kiddies would get girlfriends or something... Antonio. |
