I've actually been helped thanks to Serra, and now have an account for myself.
HOWEVER, I do need help if possible configuring this so I can have all email sent to my Tmobile server. Is there any way to figure out the following: Protocol: (POP, IMAP, SSL, etc.) Mail Server: Port: (usually a 3 digit number, from what I've seen) Username: (I understand it's simply your username, but I can't seem to find the right combo. username+randomdomainname.com ???) Yes, I would love to help, but the problem is, that if you are someone just asking for an account so you can send spam, there is no way for me to know.
You can sign up for a shared account for $6.95 and that would give you a whole month to test your setup. Plus, HG has a 30 day guarentee on some accounts, so if it doesn't work, you could always cancel. |

Oh, thanks. I didn't know there was a 30 day policy.
I don't intend on spamming at all but I appreciate your goodwill intentions. I'll give that refund stipulation a shot to protect any understandable suspicions, but is it a hassle with HG to follow through on their part should their email redirect's turn out to be as sluggish as Yahoo's? I'm under the impression it isn't, but I'd rather not run into any suprises Last edited by adrush; 12-11-2006 at 12:35 PM. |

Isn't his request like asking if anybody has an extra bank account they're not using?

I asked for a temporary email address to be set up for a matter of 5-10 minutes so I could see how fast I can deliver that mail to my mobile phone. Not access to an admin control panel. I understand spam, I get about 120 a day thanks to no filters built in my service, but I don't see how far I can get with such a small amount of time. Maybe it's easier than I thought.
No negativity in my post please. I was just looking for help on a restricted email that's under HG's package(s), he helped me in the easiest way possible. My own account where nobody else is "in the dark" and considered liable.

Not a problem, I just wanted to point out that it was too dangerous to comply. The forwarders do work very fast. They forward in a matter of seconds, unlike Yahoo, they are cPanel setup, so they just do it when the mail comes in.

I get messages to my phone and pc client. You can setup the pop access on tmobiles site.
