Exclamation To anyone running a Cpanel Demo Account on their server..

It has come to our attention that several users' Cpanel demo accounts have recently been used for rather nefarious purposes. People are using these demo accounts to upload DDOS utilities, port scanners, and other hacker tools so that they can access them later to perform various atacks. This was found to be causing some of the recent uptime issues with Jeep as well.

Because of this, we must ask that any of you who are currently running a pubicly accessible Cpanel Demo on your server to please remove the account immediately. If you do not, we will.

If you wish to offer your clients a reliable and secure Cpanel Demo, you may link to our unbranded demo. The link and login info is available here: http://forums.hostgator.com/showthre...=4218#post4218

This is a demo that we control, and you are welcome to use it as a means to demonstrate the features of Cpanel to your prospective hosting customers.

Thank you for your cooperation and prompt attention to this matter.

Hey Hostgator,

You guys now have Cpanel11 running on the servers but you still have the demo account set to the cpanel10 x theme. Could this possibly be upgraded to show the cpanel11 x3 theme by default?

PS: The hostgator homepage still says you are using cpanel 10.

Cheers,
Steve
