Brent,
3/26/06 at 9:42am EST all of my reseller accounts on skyline are down again...DNS? I am in the middle of moving to a dedicated server and can't email hostgator or get emails from hostgator regarding status updates of this transfer because my email is down as noted above. |

Brent,
I have received several alerts today about multiple service failures again on Skyline (pop3, http, and ftp) starting around 5:30am and going until around 10:00am ET. All seem to be back now, but load now (2:33pm ET) is hovering between 10 and 12. I'm not sure what you are using to keep track of load but I can log in most anytime and the load is like this now. It's rare that I check it that it's under 10 these days (and I have been checking several times a day). David |

Hi. It's been a while and Skyline has been running fine again until today. IMAP is down now and needs to be restarted and server load is over 12.

David, You can't blame me anymore. I switched to a dedicated server with Hostgator about 2 months ago now. It took a couple of weeks to get everything tweaked just right but now I have 100% uptime with no problems at all. If you are serious about webhosting, I would highly recommend you consider a dedicated server. It is so much better!!!!!

POP is not stable. Do you need to reboot?

It's happening again. All sites seem to be down on skyline. This happened last night too, don't know what's going on. Alerta and a couple of other services all say the same thing...see attached. It didn't last but 30 minutes or so last night, maybe we'll be as "lucky" again tonight.
afterfive, I've never blamed anyone for the problems on skyline only tried to help HG figure out what the problems are. Serious about hosting, huh? Well, silly me, I actually expected 99.9% uptime! I know from time to time that won't happen, but the problems with this server go way beyond 'normal' downtime. Things were horrible for a couple of months, then the last month or so things have been 'normal' at least in terms of uptime, but now these outages are creeping up again. Saying you need to move to a dedicated server just to get advertised service is a little whacked to me, just my opinion... |

We did upgrades on civic along with a 100 other boxes which resulted in downtime as we rebooted to upgrade kernals along with a few other random things in the last few days.
