I've only been with HostGator since June and must say everything runs pretty smooth so far. However, last night I tried to log in to support and received an error message that my log in was incorrect. I tried several times with my regular email and an alternate email address...no luck.
I tried registering for a support account about 5 or 6 times since last night and I'm still waiting for a confirmation code. I spoke to someone via Live Help and he couldn't tell me why I couldn't log in. I said I wanted to open a trouble ticket and he said to just email support. I emailed them about 15 hours ago and again about 30 minutes ago...still no reply of any kind. The only other time I had a problem, I went through basically the same things and finally had to call, but when I did I was asked for my ticket number which I didn't have since I have never been able to login to create one. Fortunately, the person I spoke to was able to resolve my problem within minutes. I have also posted my problem here in the forums...but, it hasn't received a reply either. I just hope that I don't have a problem that needs to be fixed quickly. |

Has this problem been fixed then? I am still trying to decide if this was asking for help or a review.
If its a review, what was the problem with signing up and not getting our emails?Also please note the forum is not the place to ask for help such as this, you did the right thing in calling to resolve the issue. (If it is resolved) |

No, neither problem has been fixed. I posted here as a review...I posted for help in the Shared Hosting Support forum and so far, you are the only that has responded.
My original problem dealt with configuring an add on domain (see my post in Shared Hosting Support). I attempted to log into support to open a ticket to address that issue and as I stated previously, I have never been able to log in since I have been here. I also have not received any acknowledgement from support to my emails...nor have I ever received a confirmation number from when i tried to register several times for a support account. |

I use Hotmail and have received email from HostGator there. I do have it configured to allow HostGator email through.

Well, over 36 hours and I still can't log in to support and I still haven't received any answer to my email or to my request for help in the Shared Hosting Forum.
Also, I was asked if I had received email from HostGator before...that's how I got my acccount setup information when I signed up. |

As I said in my first post...things so far are great. Except for two minor problems encountered since I've been here (which I must say were taken care of) and now I believe were partially due to a problem with Hotmail , I am well satisfied with the service.

I'm glad this was fixed for you. In the future, please open a support ticket. We do not monitor the support forums that well.
