Hi I was recently kicked from my webhost for using 'too much PHP resources.'
From the TOS: "7.) Resource Usage Users may not initiate the following: a) Use 25% or more of system resources for longer then 90 seconds. There are numerous activities that could cause such problems; these include: CGI scripts, FTP, PHP, HTTP, etc." Unfortunately, they were never able to pinpoint the culprit the 3 times it occurred. I know that one instance a lot of people were registering on Coppermine Photo Gallery, and I had to disable that even though it was a feature on Fantasico so it should have run fine. I was wondering if I would have a similiar problem here. |

HostGator has the same policy; you can only use over 25% for, i think 90 seconds, but I am not positive on the length. If your site really ahs that much of a load, then you should get a server.

If you're kicked from your host for usage you need something like a vps, semi , or dedicated hosting solution. Of course it all depends on the usage with how extreme of a solution you need.
All hosting businesses are around for pretty much one reason to make money... So if you're kicked that means you were causing problems and will most likely cause problems anywhere you go / be kicked again unless you have a more dedicated solution where your high usage site cant affect other web sites.
