Default Another Update

Since this seems to be the most read section of the forums, i am gonna post another update since it about server exploits and vulnerabilities that could effect everyones Network Status. Once again this was sent to me by "the other hosting company" and i get these updates everytime the company does so we can all continue to have worry free hosting. I hope this helps people here so we can continue to have uptime on our servers.

Hello,
It has come to our attention that several older versions of the various blog software contains exploits and vulnerabilities. This is causing severe load issues on our servers. We are now requiring that all accounts using blogging software upgrade to the latest versions which contain patches and fixes for these vulnerabilities.
In order to protect your account from these exploits, you must upgrade any 3rd party applications that you might have installed on the server. Please remember that we do not support any 3rd party software. Please make these upgrades immediately to avoid suspension of services.
Thank you.

Jme574 good post! It is nice to see others caring =)

This also applies to PHP NUKE, all forums, and basically any script you have. If you do not keep them up-to-date you will be hacked and the server will be affected as a result of your hacked account spamming, dosing, or other malicious activity.

They sent out an update email to clarify their position and said that they will be compiling a list of all the known affect scripts that the software companies have listed updates for. When they publish that list, i will post it here as well. Not everyone might know if there is a security update or patch for all the different scripts they might use, so i thought it might be helpful. Everything that happens here effects us all in one way or another so i thought best to be proactive instead of reactive.
