We're still receiving a splendid level of service from Hostgator.

There was one issue about a week ago when a malicious bot tried a dictionary attack (I'm guessing) on a police website at work, which slowed the server down so the site was suspended.

I kept asking how the bot/script/unscrupulous scoundrels tried to hack, or what method, and I kept getting told HG didn't have that info. Then was told those logs rotate out every 2 days. Considering it was regarding security, I found that a little startling. But whatever. Site is fine now and in part it was our fault.

Anyways... aside from that, we've had ASTOUNDING service. Just a few hours ago I was screwing around with my wordpress database, backed it up and deleted it... phpmyadmin wouldn't let me import it. Course, being the nerd I am I was freaking out that my website was down.

Submitted a ticket and conveyed my anxiety to the tech guy on the phone who elevated the ticket. Called back a little later, and the next bloke imported the database backup whilst I was on the phone, and then he waited on the phone to make sure everything was alright.

You guys really are awesome. I like the fact that HG could easily have said 'fix the errors in the sql file yourself' but didn't.
