Default Another dissatisfied customer

I joined this host several months ago and immediately had problems. I decided to not use this host and got a phone call from someone when I said to close the account. She apologized profusely and offered three free months to prove they're the best hosts. The three months were great - high speed access, no problems whatsoever. The fourth month, after they started taking money out of my account, after I officially closed my account with my last host, I have issues. My server is always "overloaded". There's always an excuse why I can't get into my account or have problems with my e-mail or whatever the case may be! Today, I have absolutely no access to two sites I have and I get the same answer "the administrators are aware of the problem and are working on it - no eta".

Needless to say, I do not recommend this place to anyone!

Hello,

Have you submitted any tickets on this issue? I checked your ticket history and we have not received anything from you since March 10th. If there is something wrong with your account, we are more than happy to look into it for you.

Your primary domain is online as well as the only addon domain that is listed on your account:

http://www.chenaultphotography.com
http://www.yourphotoforum.com/

Please be more specific on the issues that you are having as everything is working as it should right now.

I checked the server that you are on and there is a very low load of 2 currently on it.

My site has been extremely slow countless times. Unfortunately, I don't always have access to my computer but have text messages and phone calls from the moderation team on my forum telling me of slow loadup (if it will loadup at all). In the last month, I have had countless chats. Unfortunately, I didn't request transcripts of all of them. Here are 4 from the last month that I still have:

(June 12th) Jennifer P.: OK I see the server is having load issues we are already working on it. Unfortuantly there is not much I can do beyond that

(June 17th) Rory S.: I have checked our server monitor and noted that your server is experiencing a high load at the moment.

here's the complete transcript from (July 3rd) - the guy never responded so I wrote my last statement and signed off:
"Pedro R.: Welcome to HostGator, how may I assist you?
Linda: site is slow
Linda: yourphotoforum.com
Pedro R.: One moment please.
Pedro R.: Is it loading slow for you?
Linda: it's a little faster right now but it's still slower than usual.
Linda: when i first started chat, it wasn't loading at all
Pedro R.: The reason I am asking is because it is loading fine for me.
Linda: my husband is loading it on another computer and it's loading super slow
Linda: still slow for me
Pedro R.: One moment please.
Pedro R.: I am looking at this for you Linda
Pedro R.: Thank you for your patience.
Linda: k
Pedro R.: What is your public ip?
Linda: 69.255.151.191
Pedro R.: Thank you
Pedro R.: One moment please.
Pedro R.: Visit this site www.whatismyip.org
Linda: what am i supposed to do at this site? it just says my ip address which i gave you - 69.255.151.191
Linda: obviously i'm not worth your time... great customer service. my site is still slow!

(July 4th) Gary M: I apologize for the inconvenience; Our system administrators are aware of the current situation and are working quickly to resolve the issue. Please be patient while service is repaired and restored.
Gary M: I have not been told what corrections are being applied, so I am unable to provide an estimated ETA. It should be online again shortly.

I checked tonight and my sites seem fine. However, generally speaking, my sites are slow to load or come up "page cannot be displayed". Other sites, including other photography forums, load up fine. Another site we have (not through you guys) also comes up fine.

I always get the same answer from you guys regarding an overload on the server... it gets tiring.

Good morning,
I apologize that you have had these slow downs in your site. I briefly looked over your site and it loaded quickly. Am I correct in saying that this is an image hosting site?

not really. it is a photo forum - the photos are generally hosted on other sites and linked in ours.

Hello,

I checked your sites again today and they are loading pretty quickly from here and around the world. Here is a tool to see how fast your sites are loading :
http://internetsupervision.com/scrip...ail+Address%3E
http://internetsupervision.com/scrip...ail+Address%3E

They are both loading in under 2 seconds from different parts of the world. I'm not saying that you are not seeing the sites loading slow, I believe you, however I think this is going to be a networking issue. The best thing to do is submit a ticket if this issue persists and one of our System Administrators can take a look. I would reference this forum post so that they know the history of the situation.

Thank you,
Josh Loe

Can you open a ticket with us next time this happens? Also do you know how to do a traceroute? I don't believe it's the server slowing down.

How often do you have this problem?

Does it happen at certain times?
