Positive Almost a year in...

Well, I have been with HostGator for almost a year now, and I guess it will soon be time for me to decide if I am going to renew my services with them.

It won't take me long. The answer will be yes.

I moved to HostGator after trying 2 or 3 "We do everything for $2.99 per month" type of hosting companies. With the first company my site was down more than it was up and the technical support was horrendous. With the second company, the customer service was really friendly but the server would constantly be "offline for upgrades", or because of a DoS attack (according to their technicians).
In the end, my website users were beginning to get majorly pissed off.
Since I moved, and for the past year, my site has been available at any time of the day for my website visitors. When I have needed immediate technical assistance, I have used the live chat function here on the site and got an answer immediately (none of that waiting 24 hours for a reply to a ticket nonsense).

HostGator basically does what it says on the tin and then some. The support is fantastic, the value for money is great and I would advise anyone out there considering a "$2.99 per month for everything" hosting company, to consider spending an extra 50 cents a week on making sure their site remains up for their visitors by going with Hostgator.

I didn't regret it, and neither will you.

I guess it's almost 2 years with Hostgator now, and after using live chat and technical support tonight, it got me thinking that I should update my review.

Live chat got me an instant response, and the follow up to technical support got me a reply by the time I had finished my bath (where I was pondering how to fix my problem). Not only that, but the tech guys had even done the fixes I needed.

To sum it up, I would recommend Hostgator to anybody, even to my best friend, if they were seeking a reliable, professional, great value for money hosting provider with a friendly attitude to it's customers.

Keep up the great work HG! You've got me as a loyal customer, and thousands upon thousands of other webmasters just like me.
