My site was hacked. I had no backup. Although it took two days and communication was a little hard to come by, hostgator was able to find and restore a good recent version of my site!
Thank you HostGator!! My only complaint is the difficulty with communication. Every tech support ticket might benefit from having a little online message system that records status, instead of waiting for an email response. Thanks again! I found your ticket you were given a backup 10 hours after the ticket was submitted from the weekly backups that were made. From what I can tell the weekly backup backed up your hacked site before you contacted us.
You emailed back saying you needed an older backup which you were given hours ago with a non hacked version of your database. We our sorry for any delays but when dealing with backups only a few staff members have access for security reasons. The biggest delay was that your monthly backup was corrupted. I'm surprised the tech who worked on this was able to extract your database in working condition. With this new information we would apreciate if you edited the thread title to something more positive, and udpated the thread with how you feel now. If there's anything else we can do for you just contact support.
