Positive After the long process of deciding to switch, so comes the move to HG

Well, after a quite lengthy process of digging through host after host, review after review, site after site, and comparing all of my options, I decided on HG (Host Gator) about a month ago.

I'm pretty technically savvy, or at least I like to think I am being that I've made my living in the business for 20 years. That being said, my expectations aren't unreachable, but they are high. If I'm giving you money for a service, I expect that service to be delivered as promised. I know, I'm kinda funny that way.

So, my experience thus far has been smooth. Very smooth in fact, and people that know me, know that I don't rave about things like a host, but coming from the host / service I was with, to HG, anything would have been better. And HG has exceeded my expectations.

I'm so happy now *NOT* to have to deal with on a daily or weekly basis having an email server blacklisted, a DB server down, a web server down, or some other punk a** excuse of something being wrong, down, 'unscheduled maintenance', etc. This is what I came from, so moving to HG has been a thrill as I've never needed to contact support with an issue like this, which is what I was having to do prior to switching.

On my hit list, here are off the top of my head things that are important to me, and that HG either does well, or doesn't.

Raw (Server) Response Time: Zero complaints. I have several sites running forums, SQL based CMS, etc. and they are all top notch.

Support: (Live Chat) For basic items, there is someone on the other end. This is not where you'll get 2nd or 3rd level technical support for issues. For the sake of getting someone to answer a question, I've used it several times, and it works.

Support: (Email) If my issue / question wasn't addressed or solved in the 'live chat' then I was referred to email support at HG. Each time I did, I got a reply, quickly, with an answer. If not, I was told that the issue would be resolved on ___ date / hour / time, and on that date or time, the issue was resolved. Best of all, quickly.

Features (cpanel), space, bandwidth, TOS / AUP, etc.
All very happy with. I can't find anything to complain about, or anything that I'm not happy about.

HG, keep up the good work.
You're providing a solid service, at a fair price, just as advertised, and promised. That's all I ask, and you are doing well.

Thanks-
~Q
