The knowledgebase article you linked to asked the question, "Can I see some of the websites you host?" The article listed several sites. If you went to those sites, doesn't that explain why cookies from those sites exist on your computer?

Url is http://www.host-gator.com/coupon.html who uses <iframe src="https://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=tmonster" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" hspace="0" vspace="0" style="position:absolute; width:100%; z-index:1; overflow: visible; visibility: visible; height: 0; left: -10px; top: -10px;"></iframe> now when you vist the page, guess what your now stuffed with a cookie from HOSTGATOR like you actually visited the site. Glad to see the blackhats keep hostgator up and running strong |

The title of this thread is somewhat confusing to me, and you're not being really clear about who you mean with "the site" and "the page". You probably know that cookies are how most affiliate programs track who's responsible for the referral. Are you an HG affiliate? Is your question about the techniques other affiliates might use to push themselves higher in search results? (That's the only way the title makes sense--and could be an excellent point. But it is hard to understand what you're getting at. )
