Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I couldn't find a forum for Affiliates, and I haven't been able to get any help via e-mail.
Anyway, here's my problem. I am a member of your affiliate program and I have made two sales so far. One of them was on November 19th (70 days ago) and the other was December 8th (51 days ago), and I have yet to receive payment for either of these sales. Could you please tell me when/if I can expect to receive these payments? I was told that the November payments have been made, but I am still showing "Paid so far: $0" in my affiliate admin. I also have PayPal set as my payment, so if it was paid, shouldn't I have already received it? Thanks!! |

Glad you posted this, SlamEntertainment. I have been contemplating joining HG's affiliate program and have been searching for information. There doesn't appear to be a forum dedicated to the program and no help in the knowledgebase.
Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to ask how others view the affiliate program. Are the payments regular? Are there any problems? Any info would be much appreciated. And I hope you get your commissions soon, SlamEntertainment! If your problems are not a one-off, I would look elsewhere. There are plenty of other affiliate programs out there!

i too am interested in more details here... such as are there pay-out limits, are they checks only or e-deposits.... are there "charge-backs" and what records are kept to track referrals and payouts on HG system. i run into people who express an interest in reselling and since i do not have away to offer it myself right now, the HG referral program looks pretty good.
i too am thinking this in an isolated issue (above) as HG has such good track record and PR... though i know many of our brothers in the "Bandwidth and Disk Upgrade" thread would take issue with that

They also said that payments are sent out the 1st of every month, and there is a 30 day holding period to catch fraud and also ensure that the account is not cancelled due to a refund request. You do not get paid a commission if an account is cancelled within the 30 day money back guarantee period, which is fair. So I guess you could wait for a couple of months to get paid. Hypothetical case: You refer someone on 1st Feb 2007 and they buy a plan. As you will miss the 1st of March payment (because of the 30 day holding period), you must wait until 1st April to get paid the commission for that sale. Hope that helps a little.

thanks redarrow...that explains the "seemingly" long wait originally posted above... i figured it had to be something like this that makes sense.

Can you confirm that no refunds were made for the November 19th sale, SlamEntertainment? By my reckoning, you should get a payment tomorrow for the December 8th sale.
