I recommended getting rid of the advertisements, search portals, etc...
That are put on the (non-custom) Error pages and Suspended accounts. It just looks shady. Especially, when it's no where in the Terms of Service (TOS).

I've only just realised about the ads on the 404 page, but it's a FireFox ad. Personally (as a user of FF) I think it's great to advertise FireFox, even though its through Google Adsense (don't know if that's spelt correctly).
I think it's good, as long as there is no "explicit" ads or the sort. |

The advertisements I experienced were search portals related to range of topics, and image ads for credit cards.
Google Adsense rotates advertisements, So Firefox just happened to be plugged when you visited.

My thoughts are that if you run a professional website, then you would make sure that your visitors don't get any 404 error pages by adding a tiny bit of code to your .htaccess file and even less, the dreaded suspended page!

A professional website also lives up to its TOS, and does not contradict its FAQs.
