what to do guys? trying to add addondomain.
the problem is where i reg. the domain they dont host. so i setup dns etc at freedns.afraid.org this worked for my main account domain why not for addons? i just point it to the IP i got in email from HG. error i get: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 64.125.156.124,70.86.10.35,70.84.177.198,64.125.15 2.224 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ip.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. /n any ideas how to do this? thanks. thgis is driving me up the wall if i cant come right i will have to move my hosting BACK to godaddy. |

They don't need to host anything, you only need to set the nameservers of that domain to point to the nameservers you got from HG.

the problem is that my registrar needs the dns setup before i reg. the domain. But HG does not allow me to add the addondomain unless i have reg. the domain first.
registrar says: Quote:

To test that I just added a domain that does not exists to one of my domains, no problems at all

what about Hint: This feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it. Addon Domains will not be functional unless the domain name is registered with a valid registrar and configured to point to our DNS servers.
and it says error: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 64.125.152.224,64.125.156.124,70.86.10.35,70.84.17 7.198 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ip.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. /n seen this before? please help if u can.. |
