When making an addon domain I notice that my account also makes a sub-domain to match..if i put my files in the sub-domain will they then show when the actual domain name is typed in for example:
Will fills in the linked sub-domain test.example.com show when users type www.test.com into there browser? |

My reason for asking is I was hopping to set up a site on the linked subdomain and then later change the nameservers of the actual domain so that I can move the domain over to my hosting account and a new site without interupting service (appart from the 2 hours it could take for the nameservers to take effect

You will be the only one who knows that an addon domain is handled, internally, in much the same way a subdomain is handled. To the outside world, there will be no detectable link betwen your primary and addon domains. So, you should have no problems separating that addon domain later, and handling it totally independently.
