Default addon domain question and what server am I on?

I do now have an account but can't enter the account only forum area yet. I have pointed the nameservers for the main domain. I added one addon domain so far too and have pointed the nameservers. It says in the addon domain screen "Hint: This feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it." I'm assuming since I purchased the baby croc account that this is activated. Just want to make sure.

Now I just have to wait, right, for the changes to propogate? Right now when I enter the main url I get an index page with folders I've uploaded.

I looked at the list of servers when I registered for the members only forum area but I didn't see one that was the same as the shared IP address in my cpanel. I just picked the closest one so I could register but can someone tell me how to find out for sure? Thanks.

the main url? You mean the domain? In that case the DNS changes are propagated already...

Go to http://www.dnsstuff.com/ and fill in the IP of the shared server in "Reverse DNS lookup", and in the next page you can see the name of the server.

Actually, I had neglected to upload the files for the main domain. So that is working and I know my server.

I've now added 3 addon domains. Two are registered at Godaddy and they propagated immediately. One is registered at Namecheap and it's taking longer. Does the registrar matter in terms of how long this takes? Of course the one registered at namecheap is the one I really need to have up.

Thanks.

Sometimes other registrars take longer to propogate changes in the root entries because they don't update their entries immediately.

Most registrars do have it setup so that changes are refreshed every 15-30 minutes when a change is made, however, I know some can take as long as 24-72 hours before they push changes.
