Another web hosting company gives the following per account:

If a hosting company gives 15 dedicated IPs and 3 free domain registrations per account it actually means that the price of those is included in the price of the account. On other words, their prices would be much cheaper if they didn't give "free" IPs and domain registrations. Besides, why an earth would anyone need 15 dedicated IPs in a shared acount? ![]() That you can't control your domain's dns settings is a limitation of cPanel.

Actually, the price per month is $7.95 for exactly what I indicated earlier. With having the ability to have unlimited domains under one account having dedicated IP addresses is a benefit for e-commerce and better search results.
I like the control panel more, besides the limitation of DNS management, with Hostgator which is why I went with Hostgator. The other hosting company had a little more confusing control panel but was able to control DNS management. However with Hostgator you are able to control DNS management if you are a reseller or on a dedicated server. What is the difference in the cpanel? |

BTW, both cPanel and WHM have a license fee, which is also one of the costs HG builds into those account charges (i.e., they're "free".)

But there is much more to consider than just price.

15 dedicated IP in a $7.95 per month package? That is a little hard to belive! Some hosts like IX provide large number of IPs, but they are not dedicated. Are you sure you are not talkign about something like that? Most hosts charge something like 2$/month for a additional dedicated IP, so what you said sounds too good to be true.

1. Why would anyone need more than 1 dedicated IP per domain name, if this was implied then it should match the 3 free domain registrations... 1 IP per free domain.
2. How much is the yearly renewal for these and how much are their monthly plans? 3. Hostgator already has this as far as I know. |

I guess it would depend on how it is set up and what kind of plan it is you are talking about but you would not be able to use multiple dedi IPs on our Hatchling, Baby or business plan as they are all under the same cpanel. You could have multiple e-commerce sites under it but they would use the same dedi IP and SSL.
