Hi everyone.
I currently run a small blog using wordpress and it's hosted on a godaddy account. Although my blog isnt very active, I use it to show off to some potential customers and get some freelance design jobs. What I would like to do is add a reseller account to what I'm doing so that I can also offer hosting to my future customers. I'm looking for that recurring income and why I would rather not just use affiliate links. Also, I'm hoping that I can also get some straight hosting sales even if someone doesn't need my designs. How hard would it be to just integrate a reseller account into my current wordpress blog? (so that hosting is just another service. and add on) or maybe the other way around... how hard would it be to just integrate a wordpress blog into a HG template? So that the site essentially sells hosting AND also design and has a blog. Hope this makes sense. thanks guys. |

Not hard at all. You can keep Godaddy as your registrar, set the nameservers to your reseller account (with private nameservers if you like), then move the blog over if the reseller account will have the same domain (or if it isn't and you don't want to host at GD, as opposed to keeping it as domain registrar).
A few steps but if you feel qualified to sell hosting and design it should be fairly smooth.
