Is it possible to install Nginx server alongside Apache?
So that certain domains go to Nginx and others go to Apache? I've read about people doing it, but just wasn't sure if it was possible in HostGator... I also understand that it won't happen through cPanel... All Feedback Welcome! Matt |

Hello,
This is definitely possible on our servers, however since it deviates from our LAMP/cPanel standard we would be unable to support it for you. While you are welcome to make any modifications to a dedicated (vps, dedi) environment on our network, this could quite easily break your servers functionality, which is something we may not be able to fix. In short, If you have the personal knowledge or an admin that could set this up for you, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, however you are correct it would break cPanel functionality and would greatly limit the amount of support that we would be able to offer to you in regards to your server in the future. I hope this is helpful.
