Hello all,
I am a new dedicated server operator with HG and so far, so good. However, I have been using H-Sphere Control panel (Psoft.net) for over a year with my old hosting account and I have to say it totally, without questions BLOWS THE DOORS OFF cPANEL!! cPanel is taking me DAYS to set up, it's very stale, cold and cumbersome, "tech head" in it's GUI look and feel (if you could call the interface a GUI) and totally lacks many, many automated, time saving features that come STANDARD with H-Sphere! When I started with H-Sphere (with NO prior experience as a host provider/reseller) I had H-Sphere up and running and signing up customers within 2 days with NO tech support help! cPanel on the other hand really feels like a piece of crap to me after using H-Sphere and gives me the feeling like I've gone from driving a Twin Turbo Carrera around for the last year, then being forced to give that up for a 1998 Ford Mustang with a Sport Package!! Sucks! No offense to Mustang lovers…I love the Steve McQueen version a 68 I think, but I digress. cPanel is such a DOG, and I mean DOG, compared to H-Sphere CP that I am seriously considering having H-Sphere installed over cPanel and not even dealing with such a cheezy CP as cPanel is to me. It will cost me more as HG doesn’t support H-Sphere (unfortunately!!) so I’d have to hire a outsourced tech support package/company to cover my back moving forward if any real technical issues arose with it. So it's a tough call, but I truly HATE cPanel, what a piece of...well you get the message. So I hope the decision makers at HG hear me loud and clear and integrate H-Sphere as a CP option. If they did that, this would be one KILLER hosting service! Not to mention I bet they would save $$ in tech support calls because H-Sphere is so damn easy to set up and get going! I never once had to call my old tech support to get it up and running fast. And not just that, but the feature set just slaughters cPanel. Read up on H-Sphere for yourself (Psoft.net) and you will quickly see what I mean, and NO I am not a plant for H-Sphere but a true dedicated server operator with HG. Go HG!! |

From the demo I looked at (Psoft.net) it looks interesting.
I just upgraded to a reseller package and I'm waiting for access to the reseller forums so I can configure everything so I can start selling. I also noticed my info Hatchling Croc Package: Swamp Croc on the post is incorrect, but I don't have permission to change it in my User CP profile. |

It appears to have built in billing, which would be GREAT because Autopilot is another POS software.

Even though I haven't used autopilot that long I fully agree.

I'd love to get my hands on this setup.

I do not use H-Sphere but I will definately do in future. Although it lacks many options compared to Cpanel's end user interface, this control panel is aimining for enterprise hosting.
The great thing about H-Sphere is that supports clusters of servers - mail clusters, db clusters, web servers etc.. causing downtime issues to minimal. Cpanel supports only 1 server.... |

H-Sphere would be a great option to have! As for AutoPilot, it seems to have issues. I have now went with ModernBill which is just awesome!

I think the idea of HostGator having multiple control panel options is great, but my concern would be in the support department. Right now all the technicians are experts with cPanel and I am afraid that they would be trained more for the other control panels, etc. and not be able to provide as solid support down the road for cPanel.
