add-on domain cost

i searched through the faq and could not find the answer i need. maybe i looked in the wrong place....

i'm trying to find the cost of add-on domains. is it the same as any other domain name purchased through HG ($15/year) or do they offer a discount on multiple domains? also, do i have to register that domain name separately, or does it get registered if i plug it into the add-on domain option in cpanel? a little confused how that works.

You can register your domain where you want. After it's registered you can add it to your account as an addon domain.

So it goes like this:
1. you register a doman name.
2. In the cPanel you add it as an addon domain to your account.
3. You set the domain's nameserver entries to point to the nameservers you got from HG (i.e. the same as the "main" domain in your cPanel has).
