Hi Hostgator
I would really like to be able to add a description to my databases... I have three children and the are going to have the own subdomain with each their own blog. It would be nice to be able to add a description to each database indicating which database belongs to which subdomain rather than the database names (wrdp1, wrdp2 etc)... Other than that - keep up the good work! ![]() Have a nice weekend :-) ./kroogar |

No, you can't rename them yourself.

I used to be hosted with "Servage" and they allowed descriptions for databases, although they had their own control panel and used clustering rather than single servers. I found it handy, but why not make a text file just in your home directory which is just detailing which database is for who. e.g. :
Bob - user_database1 Mary - user_database2 Cheers, Tobias |

If you're going to be working with the databases to such an extent that a post-it note or text file would get annoying, Kroogar, you would certainly have no problems learning how to do a manual installation, thus gaining the ability to name the databases.
